My day began at 7 in the morning. After logging on to facebook and gmail while listening to some good music. I got ready to leave for college at around 8am…
At college, I took practices for Dance & directed the street play of students performing for the charter night and the global warming campaign respectively…Left for home at around 3.30 in the afternoon all tired and messed up in the head…Its pissing off when there’s hardly anyone to help you out voluntarily. I hate asking people to help because all I get are lame excuses…So I do everything and I like it…Makes me feel happy that I can handle things on my own…Anyway…I reach home. But I get this call from Dimple informing me about a CRM project meet at Nikunj’s place at 5.30 in the evening…I agree to meet up !
After sending like a couple of mails and making a number a calls…I finally leave from my place for the meet at 5 pm, because it generally takes 30 minutes for me to reach his home minus the traffic and the waiting…I prefer taking the bus (Public Transport)… So like after a 15 minute wait, I got onto a really crowded bus…Thanks to the traffic…most got off before their destined locations…And I got a seat for myself!! I sat in the first row “seats reserved for women” section in the double Dekker bus…There were 2 guys sitting on the opposite seat constantly staring at me and discussing amongst themselves…This is quite common…So said to myself “Whatever…Idiots that they are” and was communicating with Dimple through messages…I got off at the station…and crossed over the bridge to get to the other side…While on the bridge…I heard someone say “Excuse me” constantly…I didn’t bother turning back for a few seconds thinking it must be for someone else. Out of curiosity when I did turn back, I saw the same two guys that were in the bus…!! They followed me throughout with just plain excuse me’s on their lips…
Surprised!! I asked, “Kya hua???” (What happened???)
He said, “Aap model hai Na???” (You are a model, right???)
I said, “Nahi toh…Main koi model Nahi hoon.” (No way…I’m not a model…)
He said, “Lekin maine aapko TV pe dekha hai” (But I’ve seen you on television)
I said, “Kya?? Aapko shayad koi galat faimi hui hogi” (What?? I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else)
And I speed off as quickly as possible without turning back giggling and thinking to myself…”What makes them think I’m some model….Nuts…Not a bit of me looks like one !!”
Anyway. I get off the bridge and wait for another bus to take me to his place…I get one BUS in time…and in like 20 minutes I reach his place….We discuss on our project for not more than 5 minutes...most of it was wasted on Facebook, chit chatting and on the awesome ‘bowl and Rod’ Nikunj had.. that made an awesome SPIRIT-ual sound….You may wonder why the word has been split into two…You will come to know of it in some time. Just keep reading..
So yes…Nidhi & Karan left for home at 7.45 pm…Akshay, fondly known as Khaski, Dimple, Nikunj & I chatted away for an hour and the 3 of us left Nikunj’s place for our respective homes…Dimple took an auto…At first Khaski planned to drop me on the way…But then we decided to go on our own…So we part ways…He ricks it out…I plan to take a bus after walking for a few minutes to the depot!!! I board onto one empty BUS and grab a ‘window seat’….After like say 10 minutes…I pass my college…I look outside the window….wondering about random stuff…About the charter night, the rally, the OCV….I look again…And guess what I see ??? I know you won’t believe me and say…She’s just boasting too much…But what I saw was a SPIRIT !!! Confused…Probably you may want to tell me to stop dreaming…Believe me…it wasn’t a dream…It was before me…I’m not a crazy woman to talk shit like these…
Ok…Let me explain…There’s this Graveyard right next to the college I go to…It’s a pretty old one….It was dark …and I was watching from the BUS window…What I saw was a White cloak which women generally wore decades back…Sort of angelic cloaks..The dress was more feminine…long sleeves that had a wider cloth diameter around the wrists and that which tapered at the shoulders…and it was I guess a lil’ longer than the knee length…It was larger than the normal size…The main reason I could see it!!! It had no face. No hands.. no legs….just the dress. I tried to see it clearly…but couldn’t do so. Something was stopping me…As if I couldn’t memorize what I was looking at…the bus moved…and I couldn’t clear my doubts…I was all confused…because it’s not the first time I’m experiencing something like this ( I saw one when in the 9th grade at 5.30am and a dream of a woman telling me a story of a place never been before…and there is this place for real…I googled the info from my dreams)….Phew..I get back home and express myself to my mom and bro of what happened …I also sent text messages to Nikunj, Roxanne & Akshay.
My mom. All confused…said, “Nazar kadta tugeele”… (I’ll pray it’s nothing bad..)
I was all excited but decided to clear my doubts the next morning, that’s today...I wanted to know whether what I saw was just some dress hanging or was it something else…So this morning when I left from home for college, I completely forgot about my plan and even if I did remember, it wasn’t possible to picture the graveyard because I ricked it out from the station to go to college with Khushboo & Dimple…At 4 pm on my way back with Dimple & Neelkanth…I suddenly realized that I had to check the graveyard…So Dimple, Neel and I walked towards the graveyard. We didn’t enter…but just had a look from the outside…I saw nothing. No dress hanging…nothing in white…no cloak…nothing at all…I was clear. It was a spirit… I headed back home…
I rang the doorbell…Mom opens the door for me…And what do I hear??? Guess!!!
She tells me...” Go read the newspaper...Theres an article about the graveyard where you saw the spirit yesterday”…I was in for a shock for a moment. I hurried in without saying a word …just asking her to get me the paper. Mom took it out and opened the page for me…asked me to read through….Page 8, TIMES OF INDIA. (Thursday Feb 11,2010)
Now, this was creepy…There were articles regarding the same graveyard…of it being dug and bulldozed…And it had graves of yesteryear movie stars like Madhubala and many others….I was shocked, happy and excited and screaming out of joy at the same time….The confirmed news made me soooo happy. I immediately called up Nikunj…then called Akshay…Didn’t respond…so called Roxanne…missed Akshay’s call...So called him back…called up Dimple and narrated everything. Thank you Akshay…You didn’t drop me till Khar and allowed me to take the bus…I wouldn’t have experienced it then…
Comments:
My brother: Why can’t I see ghosts? You are really lucky!!
My Mom: you’ve got some really special vision…
Nikunj: “Congratulations!! That’s awesome…”
Roxanne: “Let me know the details sooon….”
Dimple: “The way you were explaining it to me today. I knew it was a spirit...”
Akshay: “You just didn’t see a ghost…You saw a famous ghost!!”
Yes…I did see a famous ghost, indeed…Rather a famous spirit :) And yeah…I hope you’ve got the Spirit-ual thingy now!!
PS : Maybe the Spirits were wandering in the night after they were dug out :C….Lucky me !! I saw what no one could. :D
